5 Reasons EVERYONE should consider becoming a Minimalist

May 20, 2017

I know some of you think I'm absolutely crazy for starting this new Minimalist Momma Life Challenge and really making this change in our life, but I'm so excited about it I can't see straight. I'm tired of having too much stuff (which I kindly refer to as junk or crap most of the time...but I'm trying to stop saying the "c-word' so we'll call it junk). I have put together a little list of 5 reasons I feel like could pertain to everyone.

1.  Being a minimalist isn't about not having things in your house, closet, workspace, etc. It's about having the right things that are useful to you and nothing that doesn't serve a purpose.

2. You will always feel like you look cute in your clothes, because you won't have anything in your closet you don't love and love to wear. (If you do our upcoming Minimalist Momma Life Challenge correctly, you should feel this way about your closet.)

Want to join me in decluttering, cleaning, organizing, and simplifying your life? You don't have to be an actual "Momma" You can just want more of your time for doing life rather than dealing with all your junk. Join me in the Minimalist Momma Life Challenge. I'm working on some fun stuff!

3. You don't miss out on as much. IF you also do the home discipline & detox portion of the challenge correctly, then you will have more time with your family and you'll spend less time on dumb things like washing dishes and folding laundry- those are a few of my "loathes" in life.

4. Becoming a minimalist helps you to focus on a regular basis on the things that are most important to you.

5. Resisting the urge to buy everything at Target just because everything they have is awesome is actually quite satisfying.

Bonus Reason: I'm stealing this quote from my little sister, who sent me a picture of her cleaned out and organized fridge before bed last night...

6.  "I cleaned out my fridge and it's the best feeling ever. Being an adult has simple pleasures."
